my friend is having a baby next month and i wanted to make her a nappy cake they look lovely and i wanted to make it as shes done so much for me
has anyone ever made one or anythin like it?

i seen them in some shops they look fab. they are so coslty to buy, i saw one on some website which had nappys, one hat, bib, three vests and a couple of dummys and a teddy and it was like 70 quid! i was well shocked! x

I got one off work when I went on mat leave. It had loads off huggies, 2 vests,2 sleepsuits, socks, bibs, face cloths and a gorge yellow teddy on the top! I'm sure they wouldn't cost more than £30to make. It was all mothercare stuff in mine. Oooh and a little hat x

have a look on youtube? you might find a tutorial on there...failing that i bet you any money susan will be able to work out how to do it although she is a bit busy just now

A woman in Stuarts work made one for us. It appeared to be made from loads of rolled up nappys held in place with elastic bands. There was a tall bottle in the middle that was used to start wrapping the nappys round eg btl, layer of nappys, elastic band, another layer round of nappys elastic band etc etc. It was on a large cakeboard thing.

There was a blanket, baby grow, hat, bib, dummy and large teddy on the top. Id love to be able to make one. Good luck!

Thats a lovely thought...i wouldnt know where to start but maybe ribbons to hold it all together!
