I am due on next weekend and it's very unwelcome! I've never taken the pills that stop it arriving before, how long before do you take it? I've got an appointment on Monday is that too late?

Are you on the pill already?? I think pills like microgynon is a 3wk on 1wk off but if you don't have the week off your af won't turn up.

Thanks Hun, I'm not on the pill ATM, I actually was going to take it at next af, it's only a mini pill tho, I did think if I started taking it now it may keep af away but not sure 100% if it will. I was on microgynon and it actually sent me mental! Was only on it for a month lol

hahaha i was going to say the same, just not take a break (funny you say that though, after years of being fine microgynon suddenly turned on me too!)

As Siobhan said you can take Norethisterone 3 days before af, works like a treat. Once you stop taking it af shows up in 3 or so days.

Got the pills, so now what, it says take 3 days before, Af is due Friday so do I start today or is the day you period is due counted?
