Ive only just noticed this on Izzy, I'm super on the look out as I had a bent foot as a baby and its never been 100%, although you'd only know if i said so!

Anyway Izzy has always had very good shoes/trainers that obviously support her feet and ankles well...until last week I bought her some jelly sandals.

Its almost like she walks slightly on the inside of her foot and cos the sandals don't support her foot or ankle at all I could tell.

Ive googled it and realised its called flat feet. I am pretty sure this is what she must have, although they dont look flat as such. Ive read about it and it suggests not doing anything as it can take until they are 3 for the bones to grow upwards into the arch.

Anyone else notice their toddler does this?

someone pointed it out to me when leo was a toddler, but his feet are fine now i got oliver some jellys last week too and noticed he seems to walk funny in them, but like izzy he is used to wearing proper supporting shoes
suppose its something you will have to keep an eye on, but hopefully she will grow out of it x

Yeh I had a good look today and she doesnt really have much of an arch at all so I can see how it happens...jelly shoes are out of favour anyway...off to Clarkes for some decent sandals!

oooh i have flat feet/knock knees/over pronation (sometimes it is said to be the same thing..but im not sure?!)...anyway basically i walk like a shy toddler

i think it's really really common, but wearing very flat shoes gets very painful and has caused me trouble with my knees (the inside of your foot isn't well supported, so strains your ankles, so strains your knees, hips, back etc eek!).

i would just say that there is nothing comfier than really good well fitted running shoes, but i think they look so horrible haha but yeah, well fitting and supportive shoes will really help her out and keep her aligned

My OH has flat feet and has to wear those arch thingys in his shoes.

I really wouldnt worry just yet, it seems like it can take a while for them to get the adult arch, so hopefully she will get it soon.
