I know I just heard it on the radio, it's so sad!

it has happened to several celebs now ,, lily allen , amanda holdin , kym marsh and kelly brook
maybe thats a good start for fighting to have more screening down throughout pregnancy ?

Oh no! How terrible!

I wonder is it happening more to celebs or when you become a mother yourself you pay more attention to stories like this, because you can imagine more the utter heartbreak and devastation it must bring after having experienced pregnancy for yourself.

Also there are more celebs now than there was 10 years ago due to more channels, reality tv, the internet etc. Im not saying I dont agree that it appears more common im just wondering as to the reasons why.

Screening is poor in this country. I think by the time I get to 5 months I will have seen a MW 3 times max - once at booking in/1st scan at 12 weeks, MW check at 16 weeks, scan at 20 weeks but no MW.

Aww thats so sad. I deff agree we need more screening here but I don't its going to happen anytime soon.

from being pg with rich and now with bubs is 12 years
and there is def less monitoring i think, i saw my mw every month till 6 months, then it went to 2 weeks till about 7/8 when it went weekly.

you automatically had a consultant and you saw them a couple of times, unless there was an issue.

it surprised me how little i've seen health professionals and i'm classed as high risk pg because of differnt factors.
