Has anyone every had to or thought about taking there little one out of nusery just because they don't like it? Ive posted before about me thinking Tyler didn't like his teacher as she was away and eh suddenly enjoyed going to nsery, well she's back and for the first week he was "ok" not as happy as he was while she was off but he didn't cry when I dropped him off. Well this week he's ful on screaming burying his head into me and clinging on for dear life. He wasn't himself yesterday anyway think it might be the heat or his last teeth coming through but he seemed fine at home this morning although might have been a little sleepy but now I'm thinking well how long do I keep upsetting him for before I take him out. I know he's ok after a while, but I keep thinking he must think I'm horrible to keep taking him back and leaving him when eh's upset and crying for me. He's been there for 8 motnhs now so it's not that he's not used to it yet it's something else What would you do? There are no other teachers at this nuresry so he either stays there or we move nurseries ...

i remember the other post - i know i am soft on elijah but i think 8 months is a fair shot! if you are able to find another nursery i would definitely look seriously into moving him, or taking him to the other one for a practice morning or something?

see i don't think a morning would be enough i'd have to take him out of the one he's in for a week or more I think to know whether it's the nursery/teacher or just that he hates being away from us (although doesn't explain him being ok with a different teacher does it...) aahhhh I think I'll go check out this other nursery again anyway, its closer to home and they do Greek language lessons so will be better for Tyler and better for me when I'm on maternity leave but the other one is closer to work so better when I go back haha. oh well maybe I can arrange something with the potential new one re times.

I think it's worth visiting the other nursery and getting a feel for it. If he's still not settled there I think it's worth trying out a new nursery, you've given it a good shot and I'm not sure you'll ever be completely happy with him where he is iykwim xx

Personally I would take him out. I agree with the others, you have given it a fair shot and he clearly doesnt like it. It must be hard for you being in this situation as you are working, but I would try to find him another one. How did you get on when you went to see it? x

I was telling the new nursery all about my issues with the one he's at and they were shocked. There's been more since I posted actually... as he was being clingy I was letting him go on with his blanky which he seems to have got really attached to lately, well thursday she just snatched it off him gave it to me he burst into tears I tried to give it back to him and she ran off with him. Did it again this morning and I went to say something and she said oh he'll be alright. wht a biatch. at the new nursery they said they will take his blankey away but only once he's dropped it himself, and while we were at the nursery looking around it took him about 3 minutes to drop it an play. within about 5 minutes one of the teachers had picked him up and was walking around with him while me and OH had another look around. SO he's having a little trial on Friday and will be going there next week. I don't wnt Tyler at nursery this week at all because I feel so guilty for him, so will see what the scary lady says today he might be able to start new nursery sooner!
