PostSubject: Moving up a class   Moving up a class EmptyTue May 31, 2011 7:31 am

My baby is growing up, she will be moving up a class at nursery in a few weeks. It won't be that much of a change for her really cos the two little rooms join together at the beginning and end of the day and when it's quiet so it just means she will stay in the bigger room all the time instead of going across the hall to the baby room.

It will do her good being with the slightly older kids and there will be a couple going across together so she won't be surrounded by strangers at all. They think her talking will come on a lot being with kids who speak too. She will be absolutely fine, I know it.

I have a little info pack about the Ladybird Room and on the front they've written "my new keyperson will be carrie. I am going to settle in on 20th and 21st June. I will start in ladybirds on 23rd June"

Why do these words fill me with terror? She will be absolutely fine and I'm utterly bricking it!!

I bet she will be fine!

I hated Izzy going, simply cos she NEVER slept when she was there - so came home and went to bed all night! The smaller room had a seperate 'sleep room' whereas the toddler room just closed the blinds and they all snuggled down lol - and she will never sleep like that!

She loved it though - lots of fun!

Oh god I hadn't thought of that!!

She's going to be knackered isn't she. We don't see enough of her as it is I can't be having her wanting to go to bed earlier!

They don't have a sleep room at this one but they have got her in a pretty good routine of a set lunchtime then straight to bed. (annoying cos it means she's always thrown off if we want to do anything social at lunchtime on weekends, but good cos she will go straight to sleep when I put her down - more than I'd managed before she started going; I think she would sleep for them because everyone else did, like with the eating etc)

It might take her a while to get used to sleeping in a new room. But if she's having more fun in the day she might be too tired to play with mummy and daddy in the evening
