you discuss pee and poo like they are trophies to savour

you dont own a single item of clothing that hasnt been vomited on. and you give up changing after a while figuring wet wiping it clean is sufficient

you have calpol on the ceiling (or is that just me)

you should have shares in calpol and ashton parsons

you know the words to all the beebies songs but have no idea whats happeninh in the real world

someone who only comes up to your knee can make you cry-with frustration and with joy and love

you finally understand what books mean about missing someone so much you ache when they aren't there

you wake every morning with a mild sense of trepidation! and excitement

lol true on the kids dressed better than you!!!

when you finally get out with out them, you find dummies, wet wipes nappies in your hand bag! (if you can remember what a hand bag is not a changing bag!!)

when you do go shopping wearing heels becomes a thing of the past, flat shoes so you can ran after them!!

You become so organised and pack for every eventuality (sp) even heat wave in middle of winter! (or is that just me?)

Your paying for petrol and can smell sick, thinking someones thrown up in shop, isnt till get back home and realise the smell has followed you and is ALL down your back!

hehe love this post! xx

And yup my kids are deffo dressed better than me. The calpol is on the ceiling because neil thought when the plunger on the syringe got stuck it would be a good idea to use brute force to loosen it...even though the syringe was full of calpol at the time. That was a year ago, we meant to get it off but its become kind of a part of the fixutres now.

-You know you are a mum when you find yourself saying 'mum' things you used to have said to you. ie. Dont make me come over there, im going to count to five, dont pick your nose or your head'll cave in, because i said so etc

for me you know you're a mum when

you consider your house tidy when you can see the floor through the toys
you get excited about Peppa Pig/other random characters appearing at local attractions
you find yourself celebrating with other family members when a poo is done on the toilet by little person
sitting down is a luxury
the world is a fun place again and you can spend an hour in fits of giggles, just from jumping up and down and dancing round the house like a loon
Cbeebies is both your best friend and your worst enemy
baby wipes are the best thing ever invented!

This thread is so funny! And true!

I must say after 18 months of Caitlin waking tons in the night (and still does occassionally) I cant complain too much about when she gets up. 8 is the earliest she wakes, 845am is about average and today was 1015 - which isnt totally abnormal, last week was 1030 one day Very Happy

I couldnt cope with routine getting up at 630/7am. I go in and tell her its still the middle of the night Laughing . I dont work but so am lucky we have never had to have a routine for nursery etc x

love this post.

even when you have been through the trauma of labour after 12 days you find yourself thinking, well maybe one more bubs would be nice...

only you can say your kid is a pain in the ass, anyone else says anything negative, god help them..

when you know all the characters in the ben 10 series and know the episodes from the first 10 seconds...
