Just made me think when I read that Gemz wants to take 17 outfits for herself and the kids on hols. I completely understand this as who wants to do washing etc whilst on hols but I can honestly say that none of us actually have that many outfits in our house Neutral. Me and Paul have very few clothes really and tend to live in 3-4 outfits mixed and matched. Doesn't help that we have both lost a lot of weight and are skint so can't really afford to buy new clothes for ourselves. I sold my pram so went to Primark and spent £40 in the sale to get honeymoon clothes but we will still only take about 4-5 outfits each and no doubt rinse them through Embarassed

The kids have more clothes but still not mega amounts really again I tend to mix and match their clothes. Hannah has most coz she's just had a birthday and got a fair few summery oufits so I would say she maybe has 12 outfits/dresses in her current size and a few extra cheap tshirts to swap into when she gets mucky. Thomas doesn't have as many clothes, maybe 8 proper outfits if I laid them all out but again I mix and match and he might get 2 days out of a pair of jeans/shorts but with a clean top each day.

It seems from the replys to be the done thing to take a clean outfit for each day but even if we took all our wardrobes we wouldnt have enough for a fortnights holiday. Are we weird? I don't doubt if we had extra cash we would treat ourselves and the kids more often but we don't really need them tbh - we are fine with what we've got. Do you have a lot of clothes? or are you like me and live in a few mixed and matched outfits all the time?

xx

I have alot of clothes but still seem to wear the same couple of outfits all the time!

I always take too much when I go away.

I went to butlins with my parents last week and ended up packing a huge suitcase just for 3 nights! And i think i only wore 4 things!

I have LOADS of clothes. It's actually ridiculous. Saying that I live in the same 4-5 outfits. Mostly black leggings and long tops/dresses. I buy things, wear them once and then go back to what I'm comfortable in.
Also when it comes to going on a night out I can't wear the same thing too many times as so many pics get taken, i don't like to look like I only have one nice outfit (i know i'm pathetic) so thats added to my clothes collection

For holidays I normally go out and buy a few cheap tops/dresses. I don't have like a whole 14 outfits. it's probs the same shorts/skirts with diff tops.

Lol Gemz - this is in no way a judgemental thread at all - you don't need to explain yourself Wink it just got me thinking really. I know my cousins twins have sooooooooo many clothes that I dont think I've ever seen then in the same outfit twice and my cousin is really into shopping so I guess thats why (and she can afford it) but I've never been into shopping - infact I hate it! So we really don't have a lot of clothes. I guess I'm destined to always be washing on my holidays Rolling Eyes Laughing

I actually went to the Primarni sale yesterday and OH was telling me to buy stuff and I just couldn't do it, I was getting all irate that all the nice stuff was in 8s and 10s and anything in a 14 was mingin! Laughing Maybe when I get down to a 12 I will enjoy shopping a bit more Very Happy

xx

oh Im a huge shopper. especially for hannah. she has her favourites though so probably wears the same 3 dresses every week. I have to force her to wear other clothes or hide the dresses.

I have literally packed all her holiday clothes away which is about 16 outfits and she still has about 14 outfits in her wardrobe just now. I probably shouldnt go to that next sale eh?

I buy a lot of her stuff in the sales though.

I dont know why I do it. its just material things. theres no need for it. Maybe its because my mum couldnt really afford to buy us loads when me and my sis were younger. I always have this urge to just buy everything I want for hannah. even though I know it wont do any good when shes older.

Atm I have about 3 pairs of leggings that fit (getting tight but), 2 pairs of maternity jeans, and 1 pair of maternity combats. Id say I maybe have about 10-12 tops that I can mix or match in. Actually thats a lie, Im sure I have about 20 tops (including mat vests) but only 10-12 that I wear. If I was going on hols but I prob would buy a few extra's like cheap tops/vests/shorts in primark and aim for a clean top per day, clean bottoms every other day and maybe 5-6 dresses for going out at night.

I dont really have that many clothes, I think its due to weight going up and down and being pg for the 2nd time in 2years - at any one time only a 1/3 of my wardrobe fits... and by the time I slim down again it might be the wrong season from the last time I was slim so I still have bugger all clothes....or I get pg and feck all fits again...

I wish I was a better shopper and stayed the same size all the time. Iv bought loads of clothes over the years and ended up binning them at certain points because they didnt fit or I felt were too young for me suddenly.

Caitlin would easily have 14 t-shirts. I think atm she has 2 pairs of jeggings, 2 pairs of leggings, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 denim skirts and 2-3 dresses. I alwlays feel like she has bugger all clothes but compared to other kids. Suppose if you only see a child once a week its easy to think they have more clothes than they do. x

I have looooads of clothes Embarassed but like the others I only every wear a select few, but find it hard to part with them just incase. Some of the stuff i've had for years tbh. Me and my mum are the same size so we tend to swap clothes too (cos she's a trendy nana Smile )

Its very very rare for me to buy clothes for myself now though but I did spend £20 in a charity shop the other day and bought loads of trousers and jeans - all Next and M&S and I love them Laughing

I have 1 double wardrobe (with a total of 4 rails of clothes and about 5 shelves with all my jeans, combats and joggers on. I have a large set of drawer too with loads of jumpers, sweaters, t-shirts, vests in etc. I also have a huge box under the bed with all my pj's in
I've also nicked a bit of OH's wardrobe for my long jumpers Laughing

Thats not including my coats, shoes and bags lol

Omg - i thing I have a serious problem Shocked

I really struggle to pack for a weekend away cos I tend to wear the same things all the time. my staple is a black vest top, I think I have 5 and I wear them under everything.... jumpers, other tops. I have 2 pairs of jeans that I alternate and cos it's the "summer" I've been wearing my short jeans.
I mostly wear my pyjamas..... I have many different styles and patterns of them!!! Laughing

I feel like I have been pregnant for the last five billion years, so I tend to just have crappy maternity clothes at the minute. I got rid of most of my 'pre pregnancy' clothes with the intention of treating myself after each pregnancy, but I keep getting pregnant, lol!

So, as this bubba is the last and final one, I am going to get myself lots of lovely clothes when im back in shape and sorted myself out.

So, to sum it up, I have a couple of pairs of jeans, a few vest tops and a couple of pairs of leggings.

I've got quite alot of clothes but not many that fit Sad

At the moment I'm living on:

about 15 tops/vests
a pair of combats
2 pairs of jeans
a pair of linen trousers
2 pairs of joggers (for around the house)

I hate summer, I'm so self conscious, I never have my legs out and hate my arms.

I have a ridiculous amount of clothes as does Chloe, I have two double wardrobes and 5 drawers full and they're bursting at the seams, but I probably only wear half of it on a regular basis. I tend to buy stuff in the Next sale with the intention of clearing out old stuff to make room, only that never happens.

Chloe has more clothes then she could ever possibly wear, but I hardly buy her anything, the MIL is mental and buys her stuff at least once a week Shocked

Matt on the other hand has sod all clothes apart from work suits

Depends what size I am but most times we've been on holiday we've taken at least one set of clothes for each day and normally more. Mind you it was only the two of us and we had 20kg each so figured we might as well fill it up. My hubby us always complaining he has no t-shirts but last time we went to Mexico I told he to put what he wanted to take on the bed so I could pack it and he got out 27 t-shirts (and nothing else but that's another story - apparently he was just going to walk around in t-shirts all week and let the rest flap free - this is why I pack!)

Lmao liberty!!

Debs I'm the same as you, the boys have a few outfits but we tend to mix and match throughout the week. We just don't have lots of money to spend on clothes
As for me god I have next to nothing, 1 pair of shorts 1 pair of linen trousers and a pair of jeans 2 pair of leggings, probably about 10 tops/long tops that I actually wear.

When we go to Mexico I'll definatly be washing bits I'm even thinking about taking a little pot of washing powder (sad huh)
We've brought a few bits for the holiday but not alot. I saw a couple of bits in primark I may get, I plan to spend most of my time in a bikini to be honest!
