| First off I would just like to say how much I LOVE that this forum is so private I feel alot more comfortable here! Me and my oh started ttc last November in January I got my BFP and was so happy and greatful that it happened quickly for us. I had quite a difficult pregnancy as I suffered with constant sickness up untill the day I delivered Ollie I also had crippling SPD which was worsened by an underlying hip condition. Apart from these though I had no problems with my general health and Ollie was doing fine growing just as he should be despite me not being able to keep anything down. In July whenI was 32 weeks pregnant I went to the hospital as I hadn't felt him move all day and they monitored his heart beat and reassured me he was doing fine, so I went home with a scan booked for the next day. At the scan we could see him wriggling around and they said his meausurements were fine so once again I was sent home feeling very relieved. The next morning I woke up with agonizing stomache pains my OH rushed me to the hospital where we found out our son had died. I was induced immediately, I'd had a complete placental abruption but the bleeding was concealed. I lost 6 pints of blood and very nearly died myself. We've recently discovered this was caused by pre eclampsia which the hospital failed to detect, despite my blood pressure being 160/90 when it had been 90/60 all the way through my pregnancy, on the day I had no movements no one thought to check my urine. Ollie Christopher was born at 32 weeks weighing 3lb 9oz and was absolutely perfect. This brings me up to now, 2 days before my sons due date and trying for another baby. Thankfully my AF arrived 4 weeks after giving birth and today I had a positive opk on cd15 so things seem to be back to normal. Sorry that was so long, I thought I'd introduce myself properly, if you read it all you probably deserve a nice tea break now lol. Looking forward to sharing this ttc journey with you, baby dust to all xxx |

| Hi Kayleigh
That is such a sad story - your little boy didn't make it because the system failed, always makes it much harder to bear than if he had died because he wasn't ready etc
My OHs cousin recently her baby at full term and she was still born, I haven't heard out the PM results but she had no idea she was giving birth to a still baby, who knows maybe the MWs decided she was best not knowing that while trying to deliver her, I'd hope it wasn't the case they didn't know!
Good luck with the TTC, and hugs for 2 days time x |

| I am so sorry for what you have been through. As Lisa said, the system failed you, which is dreadful. My best friend lost her baby at 24 weeks in April, as she had a uti and went into labour early. He was just too small to fight and infection he picked up. I really hope that you get your bfp very soon and have got everything crossed for you xx |

| I'm so sorry for what you have been through It's hard enough to have to go through such a terrible loss but to have to go through it because of the lack of care must make it so much harder. I also had placental abruption but at 20 wks, altho it wasn't concealed I had bled solid from 11 wks, it's just so heartbreaking to lose an otherwise perfect baby. I'm over a year down the line now & it's still hard, especially as still TTC but it does slowly get easier as time goes on. I really wish you the best of luck with TTC and hope it happens quickly for you. xx |

| Oh hun, that is such a sad story. I'm so so sorry for your loss.
I just can't believe no one checked your urine or was worried about your blood pressure. My midwives were so concerned about both that i got sent to hospital twice, i remember being a little annoyed at it was a wasted journey but i realise now how lucky i was to have attentive midwives.
I really am sorry. Good luck ttcxx |
