For last 3 or 4 days ive had a horrible taste in my mouth. Its almost metallic, its driving me to distraction. Nothign is taking it away, not brushing my teeth or any food. Ive found with some mouthwash or a sweet i can stave it off for a little while but not long. Anyone else had thisd and when does it stop?

Hmm, not sure but I can highly recommend Dentyl mouthwash - I used to get a lot of tonsillitis but Dentyl really helps to take the yakky stuff and taste away that I can get leading up to it (that and drinking water were pretty much the only way to stave it off) , so if it's throat related it's worth a try (can get non-minty flavours too, clove I think? oo, has pretty colours too... )

Yup i went and bought some sugar free gum today as well as a big bottle of dentyl (turns out my bottle was out of date and ended up pebbledashing the wall with it) and a small bottle for my handbag. Also bought some maoam and some rosy apples to suck. Ive also been online and ordered some gin gins hard candy (ginger flavour)as found this helps the taste and my sickness and some aniseed and liquirice pips so all stocked up for couple of weeks by which time i hope it wears off

OT but i also bought some complan today as still cant face food and now lost another 1/2 lb bringing me to 11 1/2 in 6 weeks so figure at least the milkshake is drinkable and got some nutrition in it. I looked like i was off to start a bulimia kick at the til with my sweets, meal replacements, mouthwash and chewing gum
