I don't know whether to find out the sex of this lo or not, I can't make my mind up! We couldn't find out at the 20 week scan because their legs were clamped shut but we've got 3 growth scans booked in and decided we'll find out at them. However, now I'm not sure whether I want to or not. My next scan is in 3 weeks so I'll be about 28 weeks then. I mentioned to hubby that if we don't find out then we could just wait until baby is born but not knowing is freaking him out a bit, he doesn't feel prepared! He wants to check at each scan what the sex is so we're sure before they arrive! But then I hear how lovely it is when baby arrives and you get told whether it's pink or blue and I change my mind again. After Stephen was born I was very poorly and out of it and would never have had that moment and I remember how excited we were when we found out at the scan! See I'm rambling now I don't know what to do, I thought about finding out and not telling anyone so we could still announce it when they're born but I don't know if I'd be able to keep it a secret! Sorry for going on, has anyone got any advice? xxx

I had to find out too BUT as you know this little man was keeping a secret until his 20 week scan and i thought if they couldn't tell me at the 20 week scan then I would probably wait... however, Im glad I know now because otherwise I would have held off decorating the nurrsery and buying anything until the baby was born and had it turned out to be a girl I'd have been a) freaking out that I only had boys clothes and b) too poor to actually get anything nice.

We had a surprise. It was nice to find out once he was born even though I was a bit out of it

I loved my surprise, I was convinced Arwyn was going to be a boy so was lovely to find out she was a girl!
I'd definitely have a surprise next time, I've even convinced my OH to change his mind and wait

All of my 3 were suprises! It's all the not knowing that makes it exciting. Just buy what you need in neutral and as soon as lo is born you can go pink or blue shopping!

We both wanted to know with Aimee, so we did.

James wanted to know with Lily, so we did.

This time I want a surprise, so im pulling rank and we are having a surprise.

This is my last baby so I really want to experience the surprise factor x

I fund out with both of mine because I couldn't wait with Andrew and with soophie we were buying a house so needed to know how many bedrooms we needed, if I wasn't buying a house though I would definitely have waited ! I know if i have another baby I will definitely want a surprise!

We too thought about finding out what baby is but not telling but once we knew we couldn't keep quiet!

Someone I remember talking to when I was preg with Immi said that when they had grown scans it was so obvious it was a boy, cause by 30wks ish they are so big it's much more visible. She said there was no way she could have walked out and not known she was having a boy.

HA yes thank you thats exactly my point this time 2 But we will have to have a 4d scan as we did with the other 2 and will probably see by accident then

I'm soooooo confuuuusssseeeeddddd! aaaaaggggghhhhhh! Hubby doesn't want a surprise so far but I know I could persuade him if I wanted to Thanks ladies it helps to hear what other people have decided and their experiences xxx

My cousin is pg at the mo (she was due last wkend, still no baby yet lol) but her and her OH chose not to find out either and omg the suspence is actually killing me haha

I had growth scans at 32,34 and 38 weeks and didn't see anything

Both OH and I decided not to find out although I did waiver just before my 20week scan....but only for a second.

I think waiting to find out adds to the excitement of having a baby
