How much do I charge _
PostSubject: How much do I charge   How much do I charge EmptyTue Sep 14, 2010 2:32 am

Ok this work i've been doing for a friend that she does they guy has just E-Mailed me and said let "so&so" know how much he owes me.

Now i would never just say a figure.

Now if i remember she said to me that she charged £20 an hour and say each item was 10 Minutes.

Now i'm pretty quick on invoices and i've typed up some letters for him too.

But i've done all this in under an hour.

So asking for £20 for 15 invoices and 2 letters just done seem right to me. I want to be fair but i dont want to be unfair on my part.

what would you charge?

Did she work from home too (am i right in thinking you did?)
If so then you have to factor in your electric for comp, lighting etc. as well.
I'd say £40 or £50 too - you're quick but that'd be a higher rate as you're so efficient Wink x

well if she was chargin £20 an hour and each item was takin her 10 mins and u have done 17 items then that wud have taken her jst under 3hrs so she wud prob be charging about £60
so i def dont think £50 is unreasonable at all

LOL you prozzer!

I would charge more than £20 a hour, by the time you take off tax, nic, electric, time to email, time discussing with him you arent left with that much

I'd say about £40-£50, that's based on the area where I live. I work as a pa in the public sector and only get paid about £11 per hour. So my daily rate is probably only £80. So taking everything into consideration £40-£50 is fair.

If it's a one off you could charge more but maybe it could become a regular thing so I'd try to be fair but still make sure it was worth my while.
