Everytime I try to get an early night!!!!



Went to bed at 1030 last night musta drifted of 15 mins later then little monkey woke at 1130. Went into give her a dummy and her head felt hot so picked her up and she was blazing hot. Chcked her temp-39 degrees. Cant ever remember C getting up that high when she was so little. Gave her some calpol and changed her, too her to my room for a feed but she looked awful big shiny eyes and pink and sounded worse with a face full of mucus and a hacking cough.



Rang work for some advice just cos she is under 6 months (like I say cudnt remember c being like that so small or id have just managed her at home myself like ive done when C has spiked high fevers) and they said to give it an hour and see how she responded to thed calpol and being stripped off but pop up if i needed to. Anyways after a good feed and a cuddle she started to cool a little so I popped her back to bed in just a nappy with a mussie over her.



She literally woke nearly hourly after that, 1230 she went back then, 215, 245, 420, 515 and 610. Finally got her back down at 7 after another feed and Neil took C to let me sleep til 8 but hes out now til 1 so just me and girls so fingers crossed she wakes feeling better after a bit of a decent stretch of sleep a)cos Im hanging and b)cos she looked awful earlier. Poor little person, i hate my kids being ill Im never able to look at them objectively with my nurse head on, bizarre cos if they injure themselves I totally can

Awww poor little thing, i hope she's better soon and you all manage to get some decent rest, I'm sure you'll all need it!

i think with an injury you can see if its mending, whereas with a temp or cold its a case of waiting for the calpol to start and the little ones to fight it. you kind of on the side lines

When Neil gets back try to get your head down for some sleep xx

Well temps stayed down today but shes got little red rimmed eyes and all is snotty. She doesnt want any food just milk so Im just letting her feed ad sleep as she wants, she had 3 hours this morning, an hour and a half after lunch and has gone off again about twenty minutes ago which is very unlike her. She is quite quiet and serious if that makes sense and just wants cuddles. Poor little monkey.

Aww the poor love, I hope she feels better asap xxx
