| Morning all. Well since Im the only person in the world awake again...well not but it feels like it i thought i would seek some advice. Awen seems to have real problems with her left leg. Shes an active baby anyway and kicks both legs a lot but sometimes it seems like she cant control the left one kicking. Ive seen her trying to get to sleep and its kicking away like mad til she gets upset and i end up holding it still til she settles. Ive also had to hold it so she can drink her bottle as it will kick away while Shes drinking and because of that Shes wriggling so much her bottle gets knocked out her mouth. Ive also watched her trying to hold it still with her hand just to end up holding her foot while her leg pumps up and down like a piston. Its only the left one that does it and its worse when she is tired or upset. I did wonder if she has restless legs...or leg technically but Dont really know What to do about it. Im Sat here now cos Ive had to bring her in my bed to settle her as she has woken and when trying to settle her found her rogue leg was on the go so Couldnt spend all night draped over her cot holding it. Any help gratefully received |

| hmmm the only thing i can think is to fold her grobag underneath so it sort of 'holds' her legs down, but if she is wriggly that won't help a lot and might make her more frustrated - elijah used to hit himself in the face when he was tired and get really really upset by it and just eventually grew out of it...i wonder if its just that she isnt as strong controlling her left side yet?! |

| Thankyou for answering Mari. Folding grobag under wouldnt work as she can easily lift both legs up to wiggle it free. PLus her legs are immensely strong. When its bugging her i fold her leg under my armpit to keep it still while shes drinking her bottle and even then with me holding it I can sfeel it jerking away. Hopefully she will grow out of it then.
Ive noticed she has a rightwards lean when shes in her highchair so maybe she just isnt controlling her left yet hence it pushing her over that way. We have to use extra mussies that side. We did find one good use for her rogue leg today though...it cant half turbo charge a jumperoo... |

| Hmm strange, dont know what it could be hun Dexter did have shakey legs when he was alot younger, as though he couldnt control them and they would shake uncontrollably for a few minutes, I remember even the nurses mentioning it when we were at hospital to get his hydrocele checked - this stopped a while ago now though. Are you worried about it? xxx |

| Kind of in that neurotic mummy way though im mostly making light of it, we just call it her kicky leg. But it does seem like she cant control it i had to hold it earlier cos it was stopping her going to sleep which seems odd. I did the naught google thing and it says restless legs in babies can be caused by iron defiecient anaemia but i cant see it being that cos she eats well and has her formlea and it would be both legs then so who knows |
