If your OH (or anyone else) hadn't had an influence over your LO's name choices what would you have called them?

I got my own way so Wil would have been just as he is. I did want to include Alfred in his name after my grandad but had decided against it by the time he was born.

I liked Megan at the end, but think that was more because I knew my mum liked it too so I suppose that isnt completly my way. Ruby was a fave of mine (especially as its her birthstone, and mine) but OH/MIL said it reminded them of a friends dog so I let that put me off.

If she had been a boy though I loved the name Cord. If id been a single parent, orphan, with no friends to judge name choices I think i would have gone with it. In the end I got sick of being told it sounded like rope or string so I let it go ......

My children were always going to be Thomas John and Hannah Rose no matter what anybody had said

I got my own way with what I wanted.

James refused to have lily, even when she was a few hours old. Then his mate text him saying 'why don't you call her lily' and he magically decided he liked it.

I know a girl who's surname is Flower and she called her little girl Olivia.. Let's hope she never gets ollie!

Both names I chose and would of had a hissy fit if Simon said no xx

we were pretty 50/50 with elijah, we both really liked it, but i love the name rui - i will never be allowed to use it tho!

Arwyn would have been Matthew Thomas Robert, and if I have a boy that's what he'll be called. Arwyn was always going to be Arwyn Rose, my OH thinks he picked it but he picked it from a list that I picked

David wanted India Skye, so i met him halfway, he wanted Travis or Preston for a boy but i hated them both.

we both liked leo's name so i got my way...he did manage to stick 'andrew' in as leo's middle name though(thats his name btw) id have chosen thomas for his middle name

he didnt like oliver at all...when he was born he said 'oh i hate to say it, but he looks like an oliver' x

At first i loved Sophia Rose but Oh didn't like it and i went off it, I'm glad cause I much prefer Imogen Lorelai. We both agreed on that, no arguments so we were both happy.

with this one if i had my way I'd call him Zachary or Joshua i think, although I'm really not sure!

We like Noah and Jacob, i preferred Jacob but he liked noah more.

If we have a girl next, i like india and bella rose. I think OH agrees on bella rose so all good lol.

100% 'Spencer' for a boy.....after my dad, it was our family name.

I was set on Ava upto the day of Islas birth....until the midwife said 'oh, weve had 4 of those this week' ------I was gutted!!

My all time fave name (but cant have it because of the ring with our surname, so wish id married some else - lol).....is Maggie

She was my grandma and a fabulous woman in my life!

I suggested all of the names we have got so im happy.

James didnt want Lily, but I kept quiet until she was born, then bullied him into it

We will have Oliver James for a boy which we have always agreed on.

I liked elliot for a boy but everyone said he would have been bullied in school for it

me and oh pretty much agreed on the name hannah from about 5 days after we took that test and we always considered other names but kept coming back to hannah.

I wanted Kira Skye for Caelyn but neil completely hated it. I then picked Caelyn and talked him into it by letting him choose her middle name



With Awen I wanted Camryn and he vetoed that again but since he would have had to step over my slowly cooling corpse to have registered her as any of the names he liked I talked him into Awen again by letting him choose her middle name and convincing him he chose her 1st name too. Hes remarkably easy to flatter

If i had my way my son would of been called Ronnie as i was in love with old fashioned names when PG, i also like Teddy, Lennie and Bobby .

He ended up being called Ben completly different to any of them lol.
