Finally Lillie is potty trained! so proud of her done it all her self over 2 days really.

But shes always been like clock work she'd have a poo about lunch time everyday.

but since she's been in knickers she'l go days and days without. I keep asking her and she tells me 'mummy I need poo' but soon as i put her on the loo she says 'ahh its gone now' like she holds it in. When she does go its like shes scared! I praise her so much when she does, I give her a sweet or something for doing it as shes that scared.

But again today we've been to the loo 10 times (no lie) so she wants to go but she's not had one all day. Iv tried giving her more water/ juice incase she was constipaed (sp) a little.

Is it normal for them to have a fear??? or what can I do??

Chloes been like that too, she used to go every morning when she was in nappies and now it's every two to three days. She will do it eventually. Will she do it on the potty instead of the toilet?

Aww yey! go Lillie - clever girl!

Thomas went through a little phase of this and we did two things, one was bribery - Thomas is a little sweety monster and would cut of his right leg for a couple of haribos Rolling Eyes so once we conquered the initial fear thing this worked a treat.

The only way we found to convince him that it's not scary was to take him with us to the loo and let him be with us while we did a poo and talk to him constantly about poo Rolling Eyes and really big it up how big boys and mummys and daddys do poos on the toilet etc etc. I also let him help me change Hannah's nappy and talked to him about how she is a baby so has to wear 'stinky nappies' but he's getting a big boy and is allowed to wear big boy pants. I made him feel special about his pants and going to the toilet and said it was our little thing and 'baby' (Hannah - he still calls her baby Rolling Eyes) isn't allowed coz she's too small and now allowed. He is quite competative with Hannah so this worked quite well.

Tbh hun I think it's a little phase a lot of kids go through, try not to stress it because she will pick up on it and I'm sure she will be over it soon.

xx

Em, Megan was doing exactly the same too! We had a few poos in pants bleurgh!!! So in the last few days I have been watching her and when she starts the jigging about its obvious she needs a poo so I whipped her onto the potty and she did a poo!! I think shes ok with it now, just waiting for the next one to come to see if we have actually cracked it!! Haven't they done well though, considering when we met up with Mandy they weren't having any of it lol!!! Very Happy

finally she went today phew!! lol I knew she needed to go as been 5 times one after another and she didnt go and kept tellong me 'I need a poo mummy'

the last time I said to her 'if you do il give you sweeties' (like you debs I have a sweet monster!!) she was trying to go but soon as she was about to go she starts cryin and wanting to jump off the loo. but I made her stay and said its fine and said she'd have more sweeties she went!! phew!!

weird how they can be so scared. She wont go on the potty at all now only the loo, esp a poo she wont go on the potty.
