| Jamie fed at 10.30 and then not again until 7. That's a whole 81/2 hours! I've been waiting almost 11 months for that to happen! I'd like to think it was the start of something new but I suspect it was a one off.

| I would take that as a sign he CAN do it and put a stop to night feeds tbh. If he can go through without being hungry that would tell me he is just using you/bottle for comfort and needs nipping in the bud now. I hope he carries it on for you hun but I would suggest from now on when/if he wakes in the night offer nothing but water and he will soon get bored and realise he may as well sleep instead.
Woop go Jamie!

| Yay for Jamie.
I agree with Debs. Amelia slept through the night for 2 days in a row about 2 weeks ago so she doesnt have a bottle in the nights anymore. She still wakes a couple of times for her dummy, thats my next one to sort out but its so much easier to pop that back in than feeding her 3/4times a night |

| I agree. We've had three weeks now with him only waking for a feed at 2 although he was draining 9oz. We'd already planned to start cutting it down though. Now he has done it will just give him water if he really won't settle by himself. He did eat much more than normal yesterday judging by his nursery book but hopefully if he knows his not getting anything later then he'll eat like it every day. Was a nightmare to settle initially last night. I think I was in there until 9 until he finally gave up and settled in his cot but I can cope with that if he goes through |

| Well I knew it was too good to be true. Still he wasn't too bad last night. He was awake at 2.30 and wouldn't settle back down but I just laid him back and stroked his back and he went off again until 6 which is when we get up in the week so can deal with that. Certainly he won't be getting any more night feeds because that's two nights he hasn't needed it. I'm hoping it won't take long for him to stop waking about 2 |

| That's brilliant hun - well done you for sticking to your guns. Sounds like he did great for the first night of waking with no feed tbh. I still have nights like that with my almost 3 year old XX |

| Well he was awful last night but brought his milk up at 7 and was coughing all night so that's no great surprise. Still didn't have a feed in the night (although had to stop hubby doing it) so hoping he will get used to it eventually |
