Well the earliest I think is usually 18 months - but can be earlier if they can get out of the cot!
So long as they can get in and out of the bed then it should be fine

Izzy is moving when she is 18 months Smile

Aimee's new room is already set up with her big girls bed, but I dont think she is good enough to use it yet.

She would be getting out of her bed every 2 minutes, so I am just waiting for the right time... although it will be defo by the time she is 2 as new baby will need her nursery!

I moved MJ just after her 1st birthday but she is very tall so she couldn't stretch out properly in her cot. I bought bed guards from Boots (they are about £20 each) to stop her falling out although my mum said let her fall it'll teach her not to Shocked I could never be that cruel to her so I bought the bed guards and kept them up til she was gone 3. I put loads of padding on the floor just in case but she's over ever fallen once (ironically that was only a couple of weeks ago) and she's been bed guard-less for well over a year now lol xxxxxx

i reckon we will be moving Alice around Christmas cos the baby will need her cot.

I am dreading it tho because she cant sleep straight in her cot so god help us with the bed, i think we will start off with a ready bed til she gets used to it x

Izzy is the same Jo - I very rarely find her with her head on the pillow! Also everything in the cot normally ends up outside the cot and stuff she can reach ends up in the cot!

Hmm I think it will be interesting! rabbit

Yeah we have to have nothing within reach either,

a few weeks ago a found a FULL packet of wipes pulled out 1 by 1 dropped down the side of the cot and the packet stuffed down after!

i have turned her around twice tonight already!

After this post I have decided to put Aimee down for her daytime nap in her big bed to see how she gets on.

I did cheat as she was asleep already from the car.

I dont want to do it all in one go and confuse her, as she has a different bedroom too, so I am putting her down in her big bed in the days for for a couple of weeks and the cot at night... then hopefully I can put her in there full time.

Let us know how she gets on Laura!
I was worried we would have to put her in the bed full time when she moved as Dan was moving his gym from what will be her room, and they were going in the nursery - luckily he cleared a room downstairs so she will still have her nursery for a bit!
