Thomas has been suffering quite badly with wind these last couple of weeks, I've changed my diet to see if that helps and he's been having infacol too. He hasn't been sleeping very well because he keeps getting uncomfy. He can usually sleep on my chest ok but gets uncomfy on his back. So out of curiosity when I put him down for his nap after him being uncomfy on his back, I put him on his tummy and he went out like a light! He's obviously much comfier like that and he's got a motion sensor monitor but I'm worried about leaving him on his tummy. What would you do?

My little man was the same with wind/colic (who ever said BF babies don't suffer wind are taking tosh!)
Oliver never slept on his back, ever..he just couldn't settle. so we used a v-pillow and he'd sleep on his side and the v-pillow supported him. then when he'd wake for feeds i'd swap him to the other side.

You can get sleep positioners too but save yourself about £30 and use 2 rolled up towels and a sheet over the top of them and lay baby down on top.

Also, when Oliver turned 1 mth we moved from infocol to gripe water, that seemed to work a bit better..its like he became immune to the infocol after a bit.

Massage too worked well

I don't know about the sleeping. I'd say leave him on his tummy but know I would have been paranoid about that. However, I agree with Zee about the gripe water. It was the only thing that worked with Jamie

we sleep finlay on his side with a sleep positioner, and thats what they do in the hospitals over here then we alternate sides each time. If he manages to wriggle his way onto his back he normally wakes up because he's unhappy Sad

I would leave him to sleep on his tummy x
