Sorry tmi but this is doing my nut in!

I confess, I'm a farter, I can't help it, you can't hold what's not in your hands after all!

Last pregnancy it did get rather bad towards the end, rather frequent and pretty nifty too. This time, it's happened A LOT sooner, and I think the. Ate may indeed suffocate if it gets any worse!

I know the old digestive system slows down so as to get all the nutrients possible but really, I'm taking a supplement, it's not necessary surely?

On a serious note though, I can't be putting my colleagues through this - I share a stuffy office with 5 others! What can I do to minimise it???

Sorry about the typos btw - stupid phone can't keep up with my typing so it just improvises with jibberish. It's the cats who may suffocate...

Look at what you're eating, do certain foods trigger it off, I find the usual culprits are fizzy drinks, beans, garlic, curry etc just try and limit those and peppermint tea helps with digestion so maybe a cup of that before work?

I've not been too bad this time round, but was terrible with Chloe!

I agree peppermint tea is fab. Are you still regular? Maybe it would help if you ate more fibre/bran in order to keep you regular, and then the wind would be reduced??

Also you can get charcoal tablets over the chemist counter, although not sure whether you can have these when pg, but they help minimise gas!

Must admit my regularity is less predictable now but still fairly frequent - I'd put that down to the changes to my thyroxine tablets (I have low thyroid, which if you don't know affects the metabolism, so for me the effect is often that things are loose and frequent and as a result my body won't always get the best from what I eat, I've had to go on stronger tablets since being pg).

Maybe I need to make a wind diary and compare it to the food diary then.

Thanks for the peppermint tea tip, I'll give that a try xx

A 'windy diary' sounds like a good idea to get to the bottom of it! x
