We were talking with some friends about what their lo do for comfort. Most its thumb sucking or a dummy. Just found it interesting and wondered what it was with everyone else. I used to have to be really sweaty to sleep apparently (which is strange because I still like to snuggle but can't be warm now). Jamie, my niece and nephew all refused dummies and like to have a finger to suck. My niece used to like to stroke elbows and ears and my strange child likes to stick his fingers in your mouth

I used to fall asleep sucking my thumb and holding onto my mums ear (poor mum, she had to lean over the cot until i'd fallen asleep) , Noah doesn't seem to need anything, although he does like to have a soft book to read at naptime Laughing , Milo has either plastic trucks or a hardback book in bed with him Shocked That can't be comfy!

I still suck my thumb to go to sleep Embarassed I also have to a blanket over me even if its warm.

Caitlin still has her dummy Rolling Eyes & bedtime bear (pink teddy head with wee blanket off it from primark). Joshua atm has nothing, he has a blue bedtime bear but he too young to even notice it. Id love him to suck his thumb as getting out of bed to find dummys 6 times a night for Caitlin was a nightmare!

Charlie has to have my red silk nightie, he walks about with it when he has a bottle and has it for nap times and bedtime but only at home, I think he likes the feeling of silk because he likes labels as well.

Libby sucks her thumb and has a blankie (thankfully it was a huge blanket that I cut up so loads of spares).

Dexter puts his sleeve to his pouted lips, if hes in the car or pushchair and is too bulked up to put his arm there I make sure the collar of his coat is touching his lips Laughing

Both of mine have Primarni blankies and will not go anywhere without them Comfort 517725 we have loads so there is always at least one spare if they get dragged through the garden or dropped in a puddle. Thomas has to have his rolled into a sausage and put round the back of his neck and shoulders and Hannah has to have hers covering her face Shocked and held to her mouth (she sort of suckles it). Luckily they do only need them to sleep so don't need to drag them round tesco with us (they wait in the car Laughing) as they are all starting to look a bit grey and tatty now. Last time I went into Primark they didn't have any new ones in so I'm praying they were just out of stock and that they haven't discontinued them as no other blanket will do for my little fussy bums Rolling Eyes

xx

Bums and backs patted and rocked for all three. Matt would love to be wrapped up like a papoose, with blankets covering his head, Madisyn only her legs covered, and Maky..no blankets at all. Also would hum or sing to them. Matt was the only baby that took to a dummy. Nowdays Maddy, if she's feeling sick or just wants cuddles, I will stroke her hair or rub her back. Maky still brings me a pillow for me to rock her on...and Matt..lol..likes me to brush his hair the Momma's boy he is. Have to say I love doing this, it's bonding time with my babies. x

Izzy sucks...but doesn't have anything in her mouth...she just puts her nunu's bear head against her lip and nose and instantly starts to suck!

I will never take it away until she decides cos he solves so many problems Laughing If she is upset, scared, hurt, tired...he comforts her!

Kelly, that made me laugh about Rowan, I can just imagine his ear making a popping noise when it pops back out again lol

Oliver too has the primark blankets. He's had one since the day he was born.
He only has it to sleep now but he has to have one over his pillow and one up against his face.

For me I was a thumb sucker and used to rub my duvet on my top lip whilst sucking my thumb Very Happy
