| Do any of you take your Lo for eye tests? Matt thinks we should take Chloe for one as he read they should have them every two years from birth. Would be interested to know if anyone else has yet? |

| Amelia had one at 2 and has another at 3 due to my noticing her squint occasionally when she was about 18 months. She's fine now but they haven't discharged her due to them being able to do a more accurate test when they are 3. I hadn't heard of eye tests being needed unless you had a concern x |

| we have but only as we were concerned about elijah squinting - we got a referral to opthalmics through the gp and will go back in 6 months for further tests but its really hard to accurately test a pre-schoolers eyesight. |

| No Ellie hasn't, I have no concerns. When my son started school the teacher told me to get his tested as he seemed to struggle to see from the back of the class. It turned out that one of his eyes was weaker than the other so he wore corrective glasses whilst at school. It was only for 12 months and his eyes ate fine now. Little monkey chose Harry Potter glasses that were dead expensive l was skintight at the time and was goo g mad that I shell out £80!!! Lol |

| I took C at about 19/20 months and they said they will usually start when they have enough verbal skills to pick out things on flash cards cos they showed her cards with tree/car/train etc on it which got smaller and smaller so they need to be able to say the words. We took her as she was complaining of sore eyes but im not taking her again unless I notice something significant as shes got eyes like a frigging hawk. That said with the eye historyin my family I will be looking out for telltale signs |

| No, we've never had any concerns so never really thought about it. Oliver can spot things a mile off, not always in a good way I think if your concerned or maybe have a sight problem in the family then maybe get them tested. My nephew had his tested regular from a very very young age as his mother was bordering on blind..and it was a condition that could have been hereditary..so had/has regular test. |

| Me and Matt both wear glasses but her eyesight seems fine, I had a look online and the NHS website recommends having them done before they start reading to help identify any early problems and every two years I don't have any concerns but he keeps on at me about it |

| lol, whys he on at you about it?? he's her daddy..if he's got any worries, he can get it investigated too.
I wear glasses for distance and have only needed them since my late teens..so no worries.
How bad are yours and Matt's prescription? |

| Because he's hopeless at doing anything, I've been waiting nearly 4 years for him to put handles on his wardrobes!
His eyes are awful, I think his contact prescription is -4.75 and mine is -2.75 so not as bad, but I have to wear glasses or contacts all the time |

| Amelia has had loads and will continue to do so because premmies are prone to eye problems. I went to the opticians while pregnant with Ollie and they told me to bring him in at around 2 but thats because Im blind in one eye because it was very lazy but never picked up on when I was a child x |
