Rash help _
PostSubject: Rash help   Rash help EmptyMon Feb 13, 2012 6:09 am

I posted at the start of Feb that Jamie had a rash on his legs and chest. We thought about taking him to the drs but it went away and since has come and gone a few times. Tonight in the bath I noticed he has a rash all over and that he has some large blotches on the top of both arms (although they feel like dry skin). He does get dry skin and his Oliutum ran out and we didn't replace it for a bit. Could it just be that and where he has dry skin? Or his teething? He hasn't been ill or really any different at all except perhaps a bit more cuddly for the last week.

Anyway, do you think I should take him to the dr or not? I don't want to waste their time if its just something babies are prone to

If you want to take him the doctors then do so. It's up to you and as him mum if you want him to see a doctor then he should.

Rashes can often be just rash and be no more than a rash so try not worry, especially if he seems ok.

Ellie often gets dry skin in the winter due to cold outside and furnace like conditions in our house.

So it's up to you, I'd you're the slightest but worried see a doctor.

When I had my first baby I was at the doctors every week to the point that I know the gp was pissed off with me lol. But now I wish I'd have told him what I thought of him, he should have been helpful! But hey I was very young Smile

Thanks. We put some of his dry skin cream on him tonight so I'll think I'll see if its made a difference in the morning. If not I think I'll take him to the drs and see what they think. I'm fairly certain its nothing but I guess I'll only worry otherwise

It could be that its because you havnt used the oilatum. Callum has bad skin and has to have oilatum in every bath if we dont use it in one bath he starts to get rashes again and scratches his skin alot x

But take him to the doctors if your worried worse case theyl just give you more oilatum x

Cool thanks. His skin seems horrible so it could be that. Yeah I forgot I got it on perscription the first time. We need to go at some point anyway because his brown inhaler was a trial and I need to find out when its going to end
