| not a post i thought id find myself making knowing what Lil Miss is like for chittychatting but when do you suppose i should worry about C's letter pronunciation? She talks in full conversations and very clearly, uses quite advaced vocab etc so her speech in itself is not an issue but she is totally incapable of saying C, G or L
C becomes H so 'harry me please' for carry me or 'wheres the hat' for cat
L becomes N so wellies become wennies and nip for lip. Clips also nip as she cant say the C or L
G seems to become W so grow is wohw
Im probs gonna ask at clinic 2moro as she never got a 2 year check but they wouldnt do much yet would they?

My sister didn't have speech therapy until she was about 5 and she almost spoke a different language that only me and my other sister could understand. I'm sure from the language acquisition part of my English A level that its common for them to be doing that until they go to school same as they mix up some verb endings (such as flyed).

http://www.earlyinterventionsupport.com/development/speech/articulation.aspx there, not sure thats the exact one I read..but has the ages - Izzy is way ahead of that so I think its a worse case scenario thing, she has issues sometimes but its random whether she says it right or not so think its her being dim

Hey Lise, when she goes into nursery class, they generally have the speech therapists in. Around the time there heading for reception. Don't worry C is like H and very advanced! I was reading someone's fb post earlier and their daughter is a may 09 and can't say 4 words to make a sentence. Hayden sings the lazy song word perfect :0/ she's fine xx

TY guys does make me feel a bit better esp that link. Yeah Emma C can sing abba and disney and discuss a variety of things with me from why they are pollarding the trees down our street (and now uses the word PNARDING as I was teling Lisa lol) to what she thinks about her teachers so im prob just fretting when I dont need to. Shes at pre school anyway so im sure they would have said if they were concerned. I rarely have to translate for family anymore or friends with kids so she must be fairly clear.

This ear infection connection makes perfect spence to me now. My eldest really struggled with speech (even up to reception class). But she suffered from severe ear infections and tonsillitis from been a tiny baby. I didn't realise there was any connection and just put it down to Charlotte been a slow developer.
