| Are they actually worth it? There's no way we'll be able to keep Jamie in the shade this year but wondered if there was any point to them or if I'm just better off smothering him in sun cream |

| I never bothered with putting Imogen in one and she was fine when we went to Turkey. Just kept putting sun cream on her. |

| We have bought them with Sophia as I am very fair and she is really blonde so want to protect her as much as poss. I think they are worth it as it keeps the sun off the shoulders, neck (they come with hats tht cover the back of the necck) and main of body and tops of legs, so really only leaves a little exposed skin. Mainly we used then when she was paddling in the pool.
I think worth it, but a personal judgement call i guess. But i do find suncreams vary in theri ability to protect, at least if skin is covered there is no chance of exposure.

| Hmm Jamie's really fair like Adam and Adam burns really easily. Seeing as we're right by the beach we're likely to spend some time there so perhaps I'll get him one to minimise the amount of skin he has on show and smoother him in sun tan lotion as well. Mind you, Adam has managed to burn in the shade with factor 50 on before (although that was in Mexico) |

| My kids wear them to the indoor swimming pool too, for warmth, and Seb's make his much easier to spot (as long as no one there has the same one!).
We don't have hot beach-type holidays so we haven't used them much for the actual sun protection (a bit in the UK but not enough to comment on whether they work, we're pretty careful with cream too) |

| I've used them for Ellie as I'm a bit of a worrier and have taken on a few very hot weathered holidays. But last year in August in Cyprus I took a chance and just covered in her in kids total block and she was fine.
These suits do tend to look a bit a shabby after a few dips in the pool and sea and I found that the sand was engrained and I couldn't get it out.
So after long ramble - ill not be buying any this year xx
Ps - just another thing. In turkey last year I ran out of sun block and bought some locally branded stuff and it was crap. I noticed Ellie started to go a bit pink!!!! So stick to well known brands !!!!!! |

| Yeah I'm planning to get him some sunglasses although I can't imagine he'll keep them on. His got Adam's fair skin and hair so his bound to burn. I bought him one and we'll see how we go |

| I would go with sun suits all the way! Both our girlies had them in Oz (which i know obviously the sun is much stronger there) but they gave me peace of mind and we had no burning or redness at all. If it hadn't have been for the suits and hats i would have been paranoid letting them play on the beach.
Ours were from Sainsbury's and they were fab and great value x |
