What age where your LO's when you first gave them cow's milk? I.e in breakfasts and then how old when they started to drink it?

Hermione will not drink formula. I put whole cow's milk in her breakfast when needed. But have found over the last two days she is very keen on drinking cows milk from a spoon.

Is she too young to start drinking it? What are the cons to having milk earlier then 12 months

im not completly sure on this but i thought it was 1year when they started on cows milk? i didnt put jamie on it till nearly 2 though as he was on a dairy and soya free diet.. x x

I know they're not supposed to have it, other than on food, until they're a year. I think its to do with the nutrients they need and not getting them from it. I'd speak to your dr or hv and see what they say

Callum started around 10months i think just having a bottle of cows milk in the afternoon ready for the swap.
I would ask your hv because if she isnt taking formula surely fresh milk is better then not having either x

it's because of the lack of iron mainly, but other nutrients that are in formula. Will she take cows milk out of a bottle? could you try half formula half cows milk or something like that?

Both mine had cows milk at 11 months. I started introducing it in breakfast.
Maybe make 1/2 and 1/2 bottles up like jade says. Xx
