hope everyone is well. I'm just wondering when everyone plans to pack their hospital bag? With Chloe I did it really early, think I had it packed by about 25 weeks! I haven't bought anything to go in mine yet. I was thinking about 34 weeks this time as I go on holiday for a few days then so thought it might be wise to pack it beforehand

i loosely packed mine last week...stuck in some maternity pads, pants, breast pads etc, but haven't actually finished it yet!! lol

generally they say about 34weeks is best time, not TOO early, but done for if you do go a lil bit early
with my other two i packed about 34weeks ish

I would say 34-37 weeks pack bag, getting closer ladies good luck

I think I packed mine at about 36 weeks but then kept unpacking and packing it again. Chloe came along at 38+5 but when I went in I didn't even take them..lol.

I'm getting all the stuff next week and putting it altogether then will pack bag in couple of weeks

i will prob start buying stuff for it in a few weeks, but wont prob pack t till after about 35 weeks x

Ok will back before my holiday then, I'll be just under 34 weeks then. Am I missing anything from my bag (will do separate one for baby)
Maternity pads
Breast pads
Nursing bra
2 x pjs
Cheap knickers (4 pairs?)
Slippers
Toothbrush/paste
Shampoo/shower gel
Clean clothes to go hone in
Maternity notes

Do I need anything else? I don't want to take stuff just or the sake of it

I took some snacks with me, which turned out to be a good thing as after being taken up to the ward at about teatime I was served mashed potato, carrots and gravy - cold may I add, so ended up eating packets of hula hoops and cereal bars! xx

sounds like you've got it spot on mandy...i have all of that stuff, minus the slippers

Only other thing would be a dressing gown

i have packed 5 knickers, socks and fluffy siocks, socks ,,flip flops , a nighty for birth , pjs for after and spare matty joggers and a vest top just incase leak , 2 packs of night time pads and toiletries ,
think thats all i have done so far

baby stuff , 2 x vest 2x sleepsuits 2 x socks maybe 3 bibs , coming home outfit , 2 pairs mitts , pack nappies and pack wipes , hat and blanket

i still haven't actually packed mine properly...eek!

LOL Faye better get packing, babba may decide to make an entrance any day now lol x

Eeeek, kenty, only 3 days now till ur sweep isnt it? Any twinges yet? No signs for me at all yet!

Have packed bag a while ago, think got everything, but still yet to make the move into the car!

i finally packed it tonight....and felt so excited thinking squishy will be here any time!!

yep sweep is tuesday, no twinges, squishy seems to have dropped nice and low though so i'm hopefully things will start soon...really dreading the idea of a sweep so kind of hoping i'll wake up tuesday morning with contractions(i can dream! lol)

YEah, quite nervous and excited, just mainly under prepared but think starting to come together. Actually got the baby hammock now so at least we have in our posession somewhere for him to sleep!

My sweep is wednesday, and like you hoping no need for! Never had one before. What is it like? Does it hurt?

omg at you 2 getting sweeps this week !! i have midwife on thursday but no chance of a sweep ,, you think if i go in saying im sure i been contracting she might want to rummage around up there ? nice try eh lol

Mandy i found the sweep uncomfortable more than anything ,,, like childbirth leave your dignity at the door and pick it up on way back out xx

well my sweep hurt ALOT!!!! i swear it felt like she was battering me in there...she commented that it was so high/far posterior that she really had to work to get it she did manage to stretch me to 2cm though...nothing so far except a slight bloody show so i'm not holding out too much hope

am booked in for induction for friday though...eek!!!

Mandy, i hope your sweep goes just as well(or that you don't need it!) hopefully it won't hurt so much for you and you get great results...omg we're gonna have babies soon!

hmmmmm, scared now! lol, baby better come tomoz! But no show even yet so not likely!

If do get to sweep and doesnt work, got to wait till 41+5 before they will burst waters. Cant have pessary induction because of c-section with Sophia.

I know! How cool and scary too! Be srill though! Sophia so excited!!!!!

Had the sweep this afternoon. Am at 2cms and baby 2/5ths engaged so getting there. HAd a bit of a show since and some pain on and off, think its all on for friday 13th!
