Chloe is being really fussy with food and it's doing my head in

She won't eat anything new I put in front of her, she just turns her head or spits it out.

The list of foods she will eat are

Jam Sandwiches
Jam on toast
Nutella
Cheese spread
Fish Fingers
Peas
Spaghetti shapes
Chicken dippers
Potato shapes
Hash Browns
Beans
Grapes
Bananas
Satsumas
Savoury Eggs

She used to eat pasta, eggs, cottage pie chicken pie and a number of other stuff but will not touch any of that now. I feel really bad giving her the same stuff over and and over but if I didn't she wouldn't eat anything!!

I don't want to keep making new stuff for it just to be chucked away.

Were any of your lo's like this and did they grow out of it eventually?

Stephen went through a phase like this, he did get tonnes better but is going through a phase of not eating his tea at the moment which is driving me mad! I think you just need to persevere and keep offering her stuff. It's so frustrating to waste food though I know! I think they all go through fussy stages with food unfortunately xx

My nephew went through a stage at 18 months when he basically stopped eating everything other than bread and butter. My sister went to the dr and he said just to let him get on with it, keep trying other food but don't make a big deal about it and make sure you're giving multivits

However, some of the ladies that have fussy eaters might be able to give you better advice

Tyler will now sometimes try something new... but we dont push it and don't give him a completely new meal. we;ll give him what he's used to and put something new on the side, if he tries it he tries it if not then it was only a little bit of something. He gets upset if we give him whole new meals so we don't but gradually he is starting to eat more and more.
