Just had a knock at the door, opened it to find 4 yes 4 people at my door.. from St Lukes Hospice something about a lottery that i should pay them money each week blah blah

I told them I would love to help but I'm skint!!

Why does it take 4 big burly peeps to come to my door. I felt awful saying no and I think this is why they do it... can you imagine most of my neighbours are elderly and probably wont even open the door

I hate people that come to your door or phone you. You can't walk down Southend high street without being stopped half a dozen times

I hate when people come to the door i can't say no. i ended up signing up something a couple of months ago. luckily i cancelled the direct debit before money came out.

I felt really pressured... If i physically had money I may have signed up.. But knowing it would put me in my overdraft was enough.. Charity starts at home and all that!

These days I just say "I've been supporting this cause for years, keep up the good work guys" at least they can't hassle you any more.

Its like when these people knock about double glazing, sofit board replacement and more recently roof cleaning I just say I'm so sorry its rented, and the landlord is a tight arse.... for those not aware I'm the tight arse owner of this delapidated looking property

Ooh dont get me started on the ones who come up to you on the street, they are reason I was skint at uni. I donated to like 5 charities a month cos I was a sucker for a sob story lol x

I walk the other way with the ones on the street and never open the door to the other ones :s I hate the in your face approach, it just makes a person uncomfortable. I did some money collecting on the last 24hr rett event but stayed back and let people come to me if they wanted
