Are you good with money? Who controls money in your household? Do you properly organise ingoing/outgoings?

I would say i'm fairly good with money but have noticed the last two months it's gotten away from me a bit. I've added a few direct debits to my accounts so it's evened out as before everything was going out of Matt's account but now it's got confusing as they are all on different days. I really need to make a spread again as I worry about it too much.

I've always controlled the money and we are good with that. Chris gets a bit carried away sometimes when we go shopping but its not like we don't have the pennies now since his promo.. but I just hate 'throwing money away' lol such a tight arse me Laughing

I'm terrible with money! Well I'm not that bad but I'm always wanting to spend stuff on the kids and our food shopping needs reigning in! I wish I'd appreciated how much money I had when I worked full time before the kids! We don't get in debt as such but we don't really have any savings which panics me and we do waste money I think x

I'm really good with my money now

When I was 21 I didn't owe a penny and had a few thousand in the bank...by the time i was 24 I OWED thousands. And what happened in between..I married a selfish pig who ran up debt in my name (he was an accountant and me being soft didn't want his credit going pear shaped cos he would lose his job!)

Since then I've been paying it off and have lived only on my money, no overdraft, cards etc

Dan and I never bought things on finance and we saved like hell for all our holidays and lived a pretty good life without owing money anywhere (besides my debt repayment plan!)

Dan is rubbish with money though, i honestly dont know what the hell he spends all his money on! I always did the bills lol

I sort all out finances, robs awful, he has no limits drives me mad . Food shopping being one, I'm like you I put things back when he's not looking haha

But saying all that I am in a pickle with our but that's me in my uni days got myself into debt and just can't get out of it, but I try not to put ourselves in anymore. I'm so stingy I won't pay a penny more if I have to See if I can find it cheaper. X

I tend to be the one that knows what we have because Adam can't cope with internet banking for some reason. We're not very good with money. We always have enough but really should be saving far more

We are terrible with money in that we do spend on things at we don't really need sometimes, especially for lily! That said though we do not have any debts, except mortgage, no overdraft and pay off credit card in full every month and we do put some into ISAs. I know though tht we could save lots more than we do. When I was younger and money was tight I always knew to the penny what I ad but now I'm a bit half soaked about it x
