like raising kids is all you can do? I didn't really have a career before the kids and not to sure what to do now, a part of me feels like having kids/raising them is all i can do.

Didn't you do an open uni course or access course?

I do feel a bit brain dead sometimes though, so might look into some training/re training myself.

I've always worked in care so from a carer in the community to carer at home, not much difference really

I don't really have any hobbies... well except reading/writing. I would like a jobs doing some sort of writing but not sure how to start.

I did do a psychology starting course but wasn't overly enthused by the subject. I need to do another one really- a different subject but i get scared.

Will you go back to work once kids are at school do you think?

Shell getting back into education/re-training is so worth while if you can get past the thought of it being scary. I was similar I got quite panicked by the thought of college to be honest but I am so glad I did it, it's done my confidence a world of good! And given me what I need to go on to my chosen degree.
You may be intitled to do some course for free if you look into it and may also get a childcare grant to help with that also

Thanks Kell, I know it will be worth it it's just decided what I want to do and finding the right course. That would be great if I could get some childcare help, will have to look into it.
