Some of you guys know about my family issues(lovely email from sister on Maky's bday)...and today I am trying to be optimistic about my Mom coming down from Whitehorse to stay with us a few days. She called Saturday evening(first time shes called in ages) to tell me that she would like to come and visit us for a few days and help out with my Baby sister's house moving. She also said that she was going to head down to Edmonton and visit her sisters for a couple weeks..which I thought was awesome(my aunts are fabulous). Anywho...I find out recently the real reason she is coming down..and it ain't for us..or Grace(baby sis). It's because she needs a place to stay before she meets up with the other sister(asshole shit disturb sister) who is heading down to Edmonton for plastic surgery on her nose and to be with her for the weeks she is healing. Why did she fail to say that to us..why does she insist on keeping secrets and making the family dramatics worse? Shayne has told me in advance when this was brought to light to not confront her..and to just let it be...I don't know if I can do that..and I feel like shit because I thought her intentions for visiting us..was because she really wants to see us. Arrrggghhhhh...confused on what to do...

Aww hun, I would play it coy for a while and see if she mentions your sisters surgery. Only you can decide if you should bring it up if she doesn't, I know I would find it hard to bite my tongue but I also like to keep the peace and not rock the boat lol

mmmmm thats a bit naughty not telling you the truth, I dont have any siblings but if i were you, i would ask your mum why she didnt tell you the real reason. Or maybe she just didnt want to upset/offend you knowing the tension between you and your sis?? mmmm tricky one xx

to be honest it would really piss me off. I would have to confront her or ask her if its true dont think i could keep my mouth shut while she was stayin without making remarks but thats just me x

That's the thing..wouldn't bother me in the slightest had she said the truth right up front. I'm not that thick enough to not understand she has a relationship with all my sisters. She made it out on the phone conversation that she was really trying to put forth an effort and take the time out to see us. Instead..I feel like I'm a hotel service..she can't stay at Grace's as the house is pretty much packed up. The only reason I found out the truth was because I asked Grace what my Mother's plans were upon her drive back home...Grace stammered a bit and said..well..she's coming back up with Laura after her nose job..so will probably skip seeing you guys on the trip up... To purposely exclude that she was going down to be with Laura is what annoys me. God..I swear I'm adopted as the "sweep the bull crap under the carpet gene" has totally skipped me!

Grr that would piss me right off Jen! I hate it when people keep "secrets" or avoid telling the truth! I would have to casually slip into conversation "so how long do the docs think Laura's nose will take to heal?" or something similar just so that she knows you can't be taken for a mug x

I think I will casually bring it up ladies..but while I do it..act all giddy and super sappy like Mary Poppins..maybe she'll get the hint that it's time to start acting like a Mom of four fully grown women. xxx

Because my sister is incredibly vain and obsessed with her looks. She's already had several procedures done. I might add that she has blamed me for her insecurities...that as children, people thought she was my brother and she has carried that with her to well in her 30's. She's had full set of veneers(Hollywood teeth)..dermabrasion..chem peels..laser and injections of collagen...buys the Smashbox cosmetics line as well as the most expensive creams. I just use dove soap..and if I get a zit..I'll steal some of Matt's Oxy lotion and dab it on. Oh..she is telling her work that she is going in for a collapsed nasal septum..which is a frikken lie..just to get some of her private insurance to pay for her upgrade! Oh..also just found out that Laura is covering all expenses for my mother's trip down..cept her stay here..
