just thought i would share. every day i get around to putting porridge on - mostly cos its the only 'proper' thing i eat until the evening and partly cos its 'lactogenic' and i make it with milk and malt powder...anyway thats irrelevant.....

every day without fail i get caught up in something and burn it. its like hot porridge cake today shouldnt have started stuffing the stupid nappies!

i do it in the micro i burned so many pots in my time that i stopped!

now we buy the oats so simple in the individual packets and nuke them

i don't have a microwave! I did buy a value non-stick (pah!) pan for £1 though so at least i dont really mind if i knacker it every week haha

Doing it in a pan or in the microwave I always seem to have way too much or way too little mile in it!

hahaha its actually impossible to get the oat/person/milk ratio right - i either have 8 gallons of it or one little dried up lump haha or its runny, or solid, and always always burned

we dont really have room, plus i think it makes me superlazy - this way im not tempted to buy ready meals cos they take 45 minutes - i can make a bloody fresh lasagne in that time!

i would be lost without mines mind u i dont do the ready made meals, they taste like cardboard!!!

Either too dry or too runny! Or it explodes!

Dan makes proper porridge in the pan though and is always forgetting about it so he does it on a really low heat to avoid burning it if he walks away!
