Ages ago i had a ridiculously high water bill and ended up having to make a direct debit for £60 a month to pay it but just had a letter saying they had been billing us on an incorrect meter number and we actually only owe £2 now. :D and my direct debit has gone to £6 a month to cover the next year. So pleased as i was starting to worry about the amount of water i've been using. I'm hoping this also means we've been over charged by the people that take away the water (its two companies here), we shall see.

Ok i just reread that and it's actually quite sad how happy i am about it. i need a life

Id be pleased with that. We dont pay for water here Baths a plenty and running taps constantly... bliss

Think are general rates are higher though to compensate but at least it doesnt matter how much water you use.

Were not on a meter thanfully, we use so much water because we dont have to think about it
