I had my midwife appt today and she said that from my last blood tests I am borderline anemic and recommended some sachets to get.

Im sure this is nothing to worry about, but has anybody else had this and can tell me anything about it?

sorry hun dont know anything. Is it low in iron or is that something else?

but I do know it makes you tired and run down but that is the extent of my knowledge

Hiya Hun,

I have had this twice and it means your iron levels are low and you need something to bring them back up, it also makes you feel very tired. I was put on Ferrous sulphate tablets 2 a day for about 2-3 months to bring my levels back up and then 1 a day after that for about 2 months to build up my iron stores. Apparently you are more suceptable (sp) to anaemia when you are pregnant.
Try not to worry too much hun, once you start on the sachets you might find you perk up a little

hun i know alcohol isnt really allowed but when i was pg with rich towards the end i would have a can of makistons and vimto every couple of nights, and i didnt have issue with iron levels.

which for me was a miracle because my iron levels are always low, docs were impressed.
