are they a good idea? i might pootle down to clarks and get elijah's feet measured as im sure they have grown and no matter what hubby says i can't get his bleedin' shoes on.

anyway, now that eli wants to walk outside in the park and garden he needs to have something to wear on his feet - i like sandals but are they impractical???

we can probably afford to buy one pair of shoes for now so should i go for shoe shoes or will sandals be ok? at the moment he pulls anything on his feet off so has bare feet all the time, therefore im not too worried about cold feet Laughing

We looked for some sandals for Libby last year but they all seemed really stiff/hard so didnt bother in the end. We just had a nice pair of shoes, a pair of trainers (nice ones though - some DC's) and she just wore crocs in the garden/park/seaside etc. xx

hun, i go to clarks to get feet measured and then go to bhs for shoes, they seem to last a bit better too. and half the price

but sandals, i'd buy a cheap pair if he just going to be taking them off, but if his walking is getting good then a good pair or shoes or sandals is needed.

if he anything like the kids i've worked with, shoes can irritate in the hot weather and cause smells....

he is getting really confident with walking so i need something sturdy (preferably that he cant get off haha) - i dont mind bare feet in the garden and house, its nicer! but the park is less ummm nakey-foot friendly

Awww I absolutely LOVE the first ones, not keen on the second but I like the third too.

If you're going for Clarks I really recommend going to a small independant shop that stock Clark shoes, we have one locally and I've had pairs of leather shoes for £5 each and last year I got some for £11.50 and they had the exact same pair in Clarks and Brantanos for £28!!

Or you could do what we've done before which is get Libby measured in Clarks and get shoes somewhere else, Next have got some lovely ones in.

xx

well, i was right and he has definitely grown (they are meant to be tight hubby says hahaha umm not that tight!) and we got these http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/department-is-boys/productfamily-is-doodles/product-is-20342892
i liked the dinosaur ones but they seemed quite clunky, and we tried the boys ones of those laura but he looks so tiny to have such grown up shoes so i went for the babyish ones Very Happy and at £15 they are fine and lightweight yaaaaaay im so pleased i went Very Happy (and elijah loves them, he has fallen asleep in the pram with one as a pillow and cuddling the other one Laughing baby/toddler sandals? 270211 )

Wil has these
http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/department-is-boys/producttype-is-summershoe/product-is-20342657

and these for football
http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/keyword-is-inf+podium/product-is-20342604

He had the open toed doodles last year but they are not really suitable for kicking a football in and that is the main consideration with Wil.
