Rowan is sitting on the sofa eating toast and watching ITNG. I've been in the kitchen cooking, and have come back in he's still sitting on the sofa but there is blood on the top of his lip coming from his nose. Now i've tipped his head back and cleaned it up. I've kept he's head up as long as i can but he's not happy now. it's not bleeding anymore though can see blood in his nose so its not alot of bleeding.

is there a reason this would happen? should i be looking out for anything.

He vomited about 2:30-3pm today but he's been acting normal since the calpol kicked in.

He has a cough but nothing bad.

I'm just concerned really.

i cant offer any advice hun im sorry i really dont know much about nosebleeds but i hope he is better soon
although my ohs older son gets nose bleeds all the time for no reason at all his nose jst starts bleeding

Dont tip his head back hon if it happens again blood will drain down his throat and might make him throw up, tilt it forward or keep it neutral. Usually pressure on the fleshy part for 10-15 mins will sort it out if it starts over but if its a small amount it could just be that he has sneezed and ruptured something or hes been having a dig up there while you were not looking

Usually nothing to worry about in young people its one of those things and as long as it stops with pressure is fine, you can also apply ice to back of neck and forehead which helps.

I think its a common thing people get told for some reason like ppl get told to pinch up by the bridge which is bone

Maybe he poked up there? When Izzy is tired or had bogeys up there she proper pokes her finger up there, and yesterday gave herself a nose bleed!

kelly jamie get huge nosebleeds where he is totally covered its very scary and he hada quite a few now i took him to docs and they said its nothing to worry about x

I used to have nose bleeds all the time for no reason they would just happen. But I also used to have really bad tonsilitus a lot. Once my tonsils were taken out I never had a nose bleed again.

The tilting head back thing my teachers used to try and make me do that even though my dad told me not to cos I might choke... they used to tell me off for not doing what I was told wtf heloooo!?

My dad used to tell me to pinch my nose just after the bone bit end and count to 100 and the nosebleed has normally stopped by then.
