so my hv came yesterday and we talked about weaning elijah in the next few weeks which is fine, but he said that if i was continuing to bf (i am for at least 3 months) then he would need to take vitamin drops as he would normally get these nutrients from at least 500ml formula a day??!

i dont really want to go back to giving eli formula, or at least not 500ml a day, but im not really that sure why he needs vitamins if he is starting to eat a varied diet??? my mother (who i occasionally listen to haha) seems to think its bs....but im not sure, do you ladies give your babies vitamins??

never heard of this at al!! when i went on thatweaning course alot of the mothers were bf still and nothing was mentioned about extra vitamins. i think as long as eli isgetting a balanced diet he should be fine! x

that's what i thought, but it's in the literature they gave us too (maybe nhs scotland has a different policy?) i dunno whether to bother with them now or not
