C's 3rd day of bug, another bad night with a temp of 40 degrees and got an upset tummy now to boot. By 2pm was consideing taking her to a and e as she hadnt moved, eaten or drunk all day, hadnt wet a nappy and was white as a sheet.

Instead decided to let her sleep for gp appt at 4.10,shes woken up and just eaten a pot of caramel trifle,some fruit stars,part of my danish and about 3ozjuice. Shes now stood watchingfish.

Still keeping appt for a check up but now going to look like one of those neurotic ppl!

PMSL always the same, they perk up at the last moment, glad she's picked up though xx

He's obv seen a few ppl with viruses last few days and cant be bothered beingpolite anymore!

Explained she was having frequent high temps up to 40 and not drinking and had upset tummyand complaining of headach and painfuleyes. He checked hertemp and said to me in that 'im a doc you are stupid' way "Its 36.8" and i said well it would be i gave her paracetamol and brufen this afternoon. I mean excuse me for being a responsible parent!

He then said its a virus,every 2nd person in here has got ityou will justhave to keep at her to drink, kids dont die from refusing to drink! I got a bit pissy at that point and said its not like ive nottriedwe have had every cup in the house out,ive bought bottles and cartons and ice lollies. I know its prob a virus but with all the bugs shes had lately i just wante to make sure it wasnt a chest infection or ear infection esp with the headaches.

He seemed to realise then he had pissed me off and checked her chest and ears which were fine so i said fine thats all i needed to knowand took her home

FFS what the f*ck do they think they get paid for anyway. Considering we get ambulances brining kids in with temps of 40 to a and e ive managed her at home and just asked gp to check her over. Id have been better just taking her to work, at least i wouldnt have been treated like a moron. What the f*ck is it with me and doctors lately i seem toattract the nasty bastards.

Omg! What a complete arse! How dare he! Maybe it is a virus this time but by condesending people and making them feel shit he will stop people coming when there is a serious problem, you only waned herchecked over and you ve every right to make sure shes ok!

God..these doctors are a bunch of assholes! exactly what kayleigh said..when they act like that..it makes you think twice about going in to be seen for fear of ridicule! Opposite of crying wolf...what a dink!
