Chloe is always tired, yet sleeps loads, she has 12 hours at night, then a 1 hour nap in the morning and usually a 2 hour one in the afternoon, yet she always seems tired in between. I've started her on multi vitamins in case she's lacking anything, but she eats well and has plenty of fruit and veg in her diet and drinks around 2 beakers of milk a day

Would be helpful to compare with other toddlers of a similar age

oliver has about the same! he sleeps for 7pm till 7:30-8pm then will have 1 long 3 hour nap around 10-11am(its a pain cos it means he has a late lunch)
in between though he's usually ok just starts getting a bit cranky around 5pm.
i was actually wondering the same earlier cos i thought 3 hours was quite a lot hope you get some better replies x

Lily sleeps 8.30 - 8am ish and if we are in the house she will not go to sleep at all in the day as she wants to play!! If we go out in the car/pushchair she will fall asleep and probably have an hour max.

Oliver usually sleeps approx 12hrs at night and also has one big 3hr nap mid afternoon. x

Tayla sleeps 12+ a night and has a 2 hour nap in the day

Callum has 10-11hrs at night thats it sometimes less which i think not great then he goes down between 11-12 for 2-3hr nap depending on what time he wakes and how long he gets xx

Thats pretty much the same as Izzy, 12 hours at night, can be 13

Naps is normally 3 hours a day, on a normal day 2 naps but when she is at MILs she doesnt sleep in the day so has a big sleep later on

What kinda things make you think she is tired? Only thing I can think is maybe she needs some more physical activiites so she is more tired and sleeps deeper - if that makes sense lol? I find if Izzy has a lazy day she doesnt sleep so deep and then wants to nap earlier

Bethany has one nap during the day of about 1½ hours and then sleeps at night from about 7:30/8pm to 7am xx

Thanks ladies, well she seems to be getting the same sort of amount of sleep as others. Lisa she just seems to be generally lacking energy, she'd rather just lay on the sofa on the cushions then play, and she's always yawning, and rubbing her eyes and asking to go to bed, she also has a bear that she rubs over her face when she's sleepy and she keeps doing that during the day now, although that may be for comfort rather than tiredness, I guess she just doesn't seem her usual manic self, she used to be always running around, doing things and it's like she can't be bothered all of a sudden.

It could be that she isn't getting as much exercise as she's with her nan in the mornings while I'm at work so doesn't get a lot of physical activity there, I guess I'll have to try and do more with her in the afternoons and see if that helps

Aimee sleeps 11-12 hours a night and then has a 2 ish hour nap at midday.

Caelyn sleeps from 715 to about 545-615 then sleeps for 45-90 mins in day max. Wish she slept in longer in mornings like some of yours

Isla goes to bed anywhere between 6-7pm, and she sleeps till 8am ish, so normally 13-14hrs at night!! (shes always done this!)

Then she has a 45min (to the minute!) kip if shes out in the car or the pushchair.....or if shes busy at home then she will skip her sleep altogether, but shes always in bed by 6 those nights

Sophia sleeps about 10.5-11 hours at night and gets about 1.5 to 2 hours in the day, either in one nap in the middle, or across, 2, often two after being ill.

Also worry if its enough sleep but its all she will sleep for so what can i do?!

lilly goes to bed at 6 - 6.30pm amd gets up at 7 - 7.30am, she has never been a very good sleeper during the day, if im in the car she may have 30 mins after lunch xx
