pmsl! They are a bit weird, think you need to find new nursery rhymes!

They are from the book 365 stories and rhymes for girls. The stories are generally good & quite modern (more for 3 yr olds though) but the rhymes get more and more shocking/hilarious.

I think a lot of them have basis in medievil times or pre 1700s when life and attitudes were very different. Ring a ring was originated during the black death and people used to carry posies off flowers to ward off the stench of death.
