i dont know whats wrong with me atm, i'm so weepy all the time, i spent pretty much all of yesterday crying, i felt ok this morning and then started again. i don't know whether its the baby blues but i've never felt it before now, i get really annoyed with myself because i'm always really positive but i cant seem to get myself out of it.

is it bad that i miss my old life a bit, dont get me wrong ava's my life and i absolutely adore her but i miss the spontaneity of just going for a drink or a meal sometimes.

((((hugs)))) I think you're still just adjusting to being a Mummy. I still get a hankering after my "old"life and crave a little freedom and spontinatity, but I think that's normal. Having a baby changes your life in ways that you could never imagine, and although we love our babies with every fibre of our beings and would never ever change them for the world, it's normal to miss more simple times. I've been feeling a bit down in the dumps this week too, maybe there's something in the air x

i think we all get to that point where we say to ourselves all I've done the last few months is be mum and you feel as if you've lost yourself.

Aww, hope you are ok. I had a phase like this when Lily was about 6 months old. Even though I loved her to bits i felt like my life had really changed and instead of going out and wearing nice things i was stuck in the house and was a chubby drudge!

Can you maybe get a babysitter and have a nice evening out to cheer yourself up?? x

i get like this ,, i love my kids with all of my heart but i sometimes miss the simple things like getting up and not having to worry about feeding clothing caring for anyone but me !
i see pics on facebook of my single friends and sometimes crave the life they have.

i think one of the problems is i cant get a babysitter, my mum takes her once a week for 2 hours but apart from that im with her 24/7, she wants entertained constantly and rarely naps during the day.

ive heard a lot of people feel it around the 5-6 month period.

Aw I remember feeling very similar, I think it's perfectly normal. Can your mum not take her for a bit longer so you can go shopping or meet some friends? Hope you start feeling better soon xxxx

aww pinky you're not alone, I get days like that, its normal. nobody doubts you for one second that you dont adore Ava. are there any baby groups near you??? they are helpful because you van meet other mums and let Ava do her own thing so you can take time out. You've always got us on here, nearly 24 hrs because Mara and Lisa usually lurk around till about 2am

ah thanks everyone, yep i do go to a mum and baby group minimeg which i really like. i think ive just had a bad few days, on the bright side its bank holiday weekend and hubby brought me in a mini bottle of fizz so ive had a nice soak in the tub and a face mask

Having a baby is such a huge change, and there's too much to take in in the first few months, i seem to keep finding new challenges every couple of months.. I honestly think it would be stranger not to feel these things, but you can overcome them!! bighugs!
