Ok
so Ive always suffered with bad back since my epidural (whether thats
connected I dont know) but in the past 3/4 months its changed. The pain
in my back is all the way across my lower back just above my bum, but
its not achy like it used to be its more shooting and stabbing pains,
this is combined with shooting pains that run mainly down my left side
bum cheek lol and all the way down my leg sometimes its both legs . Ive
also noticed when I have these pains the skin on my left thigh feels
really strange like tingly and sensitive to touch. I even get the
shooting pains whilst sitting or not doing anything. Ive looked it up
online and the symptoms do seem to tally with sciatica but I was just
wondering if anyone here has it, im not sure whether its worth seeing a
doctor about or should I just take painkillers as and when needed.

Also if anyone does have it, would pregnancy make it worse?? It is something im concerned about what with ttc.

I used to suffer with what was thought to be sciatica, but it was quite irregular and I wouldn't get pain for months and then would get a few stabs over a week or so and then go again, and had nothing since I was PG.

Im sure there isnt much that can be done as my aunty has suffered badly with it for years

Thanks Lisa, Its happening more regularly ive noticed say every other week. Past 2 mornings ive struggled to stand up straight when getting out of bed.

I've had sciatica but mine was cured with back surgery as I had a disc permanently pressing on my sciatic nerve. You symptoms do sound like sciatica, i'm not sure what they do for it these days....like Lisa say Mario has got it so hopefully she can give you some more advice.

Thanks girls, just taken some painkillers for now. My bum even hurts when I clench lol like ive been exercising (which I havent been)
