What are your pets called and why?

My Dogs are Biggles..no idea why just picked it cos he looked like a Biggles
and the other is Denver, we flew to Denver and I liked the name

Izzys fish are called Bob.....cos fish bob up and down, and Sooty cos he is black

My cockatiels are called Father Ted and Father Dougal..cos I like the TV show

The foals are called Alfie and Archie...not sure why, I picked Alfies' name and my mum picked Archies...and now she gets confused who is who. The tiny one is called Teddy cos he looks a bit like a teddy bear, or maybe cos he is little

The cat is Gizmo...cos we liked the name from Gremlins BUT should have called him Gremlin cos he evil!

Boring reasons really, I like it when people have a really good reason for a pets name!

My dog is called Ty. It's short for Tyrone which is the name he had when we got him but I hate it - it's so chavvy!! So it's Ty or Tyty or even Tytybags. no idea why, it just is
I had a goldfish called Skwash as in orange squash because obviously it was orange.

our dog was called jackson...thats the name he came with

i had a cat called kitty...leo named it, he was only about 20 months, he got catnapped

leo's hampster is called speedy torres, cos his dads obsessed with football

we had a black cat called shadow, dunno why, he turned out to be a she

my mums dog is called ruby because when we went to crete there was a cute little dog called ruby and she reminds us of her

my mums dog (was mine when i lived at home) is benji i named him because i just thought it was a nice name 4 a dog lol i used to have a cockatiel called joey because i liked joey from the american sitcom blossom (dont know if any1 will remember it) heres a pic joey's at top (i was only young lol)

I have Ellie the horse who came with her name. Brandy is my pony who I named when I was 11. She got her name because it was xmas and she is the colour of a Brandysnap. My Mum's dog Star also came with her name.

I've had a dog called Snoopy who again came with her name and another called Widget that I named when I was 13. Used to have 2 fish called big and little.

I have a cat whos actual name is Florrie - named because of a kids tv show The Fimbles that my son liked at the time we got her (9 years ago this year) but we actually call her Lulu or Louie lol , had a hamster called peanut no idea why we called him that and now we have 2 gold fish called Del and Rodney lol think their names came about because we watched a lot of only fools and horses over xmas.

My dog is called Taffy as he is from Wales, cat is Minxy?, rabbit is Romell but can't rem why oh called him that x

when my puppys ready im calling her Sookie she will be my last baby. and im getting to help deliver them. i cant wait!!!

our dog is tyson (hes a boxer)
and a snake called bender (cos it bends the boys choice )lol

my older cat is called Zoey, her original name was Dori but we didn't like it and Zoey was all we could agree on (my OH wanted Maria!! who the f*ck calls a cat Maria??? )

the little one is Millie, my mum suggested it and we liked it afterwards i wanted to call her Mindy... maybe i should get a Mork too

My hamster was called Pancake, she died in summer though. Me and my sis have always named our hamsters after food. We had Fudge and Toffee when we were little and my sister's hamster that also died in summer was called Cookie. My aunty got in on the theme and called hers Marmalade.

Roxy.. my mum chose it

The dogs called sophie.. again i dont know why but i love the name

My inlaws have 3 labs and a great dane....try calling them to come in its such a mouthful...
Zara, Zorba, Zeus and Zak! (Going with a greek theme, they live in Cyprus)

Our dog is called roxi
Wen we went and picked her we had to wait til she was old enough to leave her litter so had ages to pick a name and one day at work I was thinkin bout it and was finding names like broxi and for some reason cudnt get broxi out of my head god knows why cos I didn't like it so I shortened it to roxi n loved it
Got home and oh said to me I've been thinkin bout name for puppy n I like roxi and I was Omg where did u get that from I picked exact same name today
He got it from eastenders lol cos roxi had jst got her boxer puppy that week and he was thinkin bout name she choose think it's George or sumit then he decided he liked her name for a dog lol

I have 3 cats (although one has moved out) called:

Rio - after Man U player (my ex was a man u player - so is James, luckily!)

Poppy - we were signing her up for the vet and didnt have one so it was all that sprung into my mind!

Zizi - named after Zidane when he headbutted that other player in the World Cup - because she is an evil little shite!

The naming of cats is a well known poem but I reckon it's true.

I was arsing around with google and googled my cats name and post on Banda came up I just had a wobbly as thought I could be identified as if anyone clicked on it the would be in banda Reading my post and i would hate anyone (my sil) to read my posts (as they quite often *^$% her off).

Anyway Thanks to the lovely lisa it's gone now!

And it did make me think a bit about Internet security.

i thought it might have been that, i know you're a bit internet cautious. i will have a google then!!

My cats are called Slipmat, cos adam is a wouldbe DJ and a slipmat is what you put between the turntable and the vinyl (it was his cat before we met)

And maggie because Adam loves the simpsons and i liked the name maggie.
