well we saw a geneticist today to find out the chance of having more kids!

she sent us for dna tests to check if we're carriers...6-8week wait as usual...she reckons it's unlikely it'll come back positive though

the worrying thing is that there is a chance they can miss it...so may still need tests running if i do go ahead and get pregnant! :? so much for reassurance

the upside is, she's referred us for a specialist Rett Syndrome Clinic in London with some of the top experts for Retts!!!

that's brilliant they have referred you.

Thats good with the referral, very strange re the genetics test tho, it makes you wonder why the tests might not pick it up.

she said it's something to do with it being a 'hidden lil pouch' in the sperm or egg so they cant pick up on it with the blood test....God knows what the heck that means

she said CVS during early pg, or amniocentisis at about 16weeks...or if we're sure we'd keep any baby regardless then they can wait until after the birth and do immediate tests

really good news about the referral though
