well when we took her in to be fitted for it everything seemed fine, but we took her to tesco in it for the first time today(omg the amount of people that stared!!)


anyways first off the lap belt at it's tightest was still a good few cm too loose, but we kept her coat on to pad it out a little...

so got halfway around tesco and the poor mites head starts flopping onto her chest...then she launches forward, bent at the waist and almost falls out!!
she was provided with a chest harness(that is too big which is why it wasn't on her) so i put that on and as she was flopping her head forward it was digging into her neck marking her

so all in all the wheelchair isn't successful and IS going back

thats rubbish!

it doesn't sound like it is suitable for even if it did fit her.

Is she totally outgrown/not suitable for a pushchair now?

awww what a shame, that's no good for her if it doesnt support her at all x

thats a shame hun, cant they adjust it to make it more comfortable and better support it for her? xxxx

no idea, we're contacting them tomorrow though to sort it out and see if they can give her anything better.

lisa...she's still small enough to fit in a normal pram but she slides down so is really slumped and hanging out

i think its mclaren that make specialized buggies ,, maybe something like that would be a better option ? x

she tried a maclaren major buggy but slouched in that too

Hopefully they can make some adjustments to make her more comfortable

Awww poor Lumpy I hope they can sort something out for her x

Hope you get this sorted out soon, it's the last thing you need at the moment.

Also, can't believe, people were so rude as to stare, it makes my blood boil.

no jo, it's not an option at all unfortunately...she did look so proud of herself in sam's one though!!

they do city jogger style prams that go up until about 8 or 9...but it's getting wheelchair services/the physiotherapist to get us one that will be all but impossible
