I went into my bank at 10:30 to get money out as was waiting for a new card. When I got home my card had turned up anyway lol.
Anyway my mum has transferred money into my account and asked me to check it was there.

I noticed that the amount I was given at the bank was taken out twice.

Went back to the bank coz I cant afford to be £50 down, some how someone else has taken the money from my account. They found the slip that I signed at 10:39 and another transaction at 12:04 with a conpletly different signature. I'm waiting for them to call me and tell me what's going on!

Doesn't give me much confidence in my bank really!

thats scary. you know I would never notice as there are many things going in and out of my bank (mainly out)

Do they think it is a bank mistake or a random person or god forbid someone you know??

I've never been asked for ID when taking money out of my account!

At my bank, you put your pin number in if you want money. But before this they did just give you money if you had your details.

could someone have gone in with your old card and taken it out? its a big coincidence that it's the same amount and same day though, i would be asking some very serious questions about wether they left your account open on screen or a duplicate slip sitting around - i would be so angry!!!

It was a bank error and my money is back in the account. I might compaine tho as what ever happened shouldn't have!

Too right it shouldnt have! What if you hadnt noticed? They cant get away with it.

My OH works for a bank. If you email/write to them, they will put something like £20 in your account to say sorry.
