I have just started running again after doing nothing for nearly 3 years. Did 3 miles yesterday and 1 1/2 today but did some hills today so not run as long. Used to be able to run 5miles + so would love to get to that again x

thats awesome! especially after 3 years off, you can't have let yourself go like i have i used to run, 5k two or three times a week so never long distances and would absolutely love to get back to it - even walking i feel my tummy jiggling and i can't even get my running bras on just now think it will be a very spaced out run/walk routine for me!

I've had to buy a new bra and trainers. I can't run fast at the moment but just getting round without stopping is my goal lol x

does the treadmill count x

I used to do about 15miles a week but these days I struggle to run for a bus!

I'd love to get back into it but really lack the time and energy.

I'm training for race for life, have one more session on the treadmill and I've finished 5k run walk programme, I couldn't run at all now I'm running 5k in about 30-35 mins depending on speed and what I had for dinner lol!
Gonna go onto a 10k programme next but I'm not finding one I like without signing up to a mag!

I'm actually loving it! And I've noticed a difference in my body already, I've only been doing it for 6weeks!!

runners world usually have a few different run/walk 5/10k plans that are free but i guess you will have looked there already

My OH used to go on the Nike website to get training plans for different run lengths so maybe try there

yeah apparently they are good, and mapmyrun is awesome too but not so much for run/walk plans. i (heart) nike run mixes too

Yep I was just thinking about doing that, adding 0.5-1k per week until I get there.
