My husband and I have been quite relaxed about concieving, but im getting anxious to get the positive pregnancy test. I feel like everyone around me is getting pregnant just looking at each other lol Im sure thats normal!

I was wondering if any one took there temperatures or had any advice about this!

My cycles appear to be regular for 3 months then i have a long cycle then i seem to be a regular 35 days again for 3 months.

Thank you! Smile

Hiya Wave I've never done the temp'ing myself. I have only been officially ttc since Jan and have just gotten track of my cycles. I'm just going by CM at the mo.

Have you checked out sites like Fertility friend etc. Or what about ovulation strips etc, have you tried them?

I wish you lots of Babydust hun and hope you get your BFP soon. xx

Ive never tried doing the whole temperature thing before, I started using ovulation tests to pinpoint when I ovulate. You can get cheap ovulation tests from ebay Very Happy

Sorry can't help with temperatures and stuff but I managed to predict ovulation quite well when we conceived Imogen, just through a calendar and observing things like tiredness, mucus (sorry TMI) and bloating.

Sperm hangs around for a few days doesn't it so it can be helpful to try for a couple of days before as well as during ovulation.

Most of my friends, as well as me, found that chilling out about it helped as well. I came off the pill at Christmas and thought it would either happen straight away or take ages. Well it didn't happen straight away - I conceived in April - so I'd stopped worrying about it by then. I remember saying "ooh I think I'll be ovulating when we go on holiday" and then forgot all about it until the next month when I declined cheesecake - OH sent me off to do a preg test and lo and behold it was positive!

xx Em

Forgot to ask - how long have you been trying?
And what contraception were you using before that?

I charted temperatures when ttc Charlie, we were trying for about 6 months then I started charting and fell pg on my second month taking temps!
You are suppose to take your resting temp at the same time after atleast 3hours consecutive sleep and before you move etc.
I use to set my alarm at 5:30 every morning, take my temp then go back to sleep.

You can either take it externally or internally, so long as you stick to the same method you'll be fine! I use to take it vaginally as there was nothing that could effect the temp there lol so the reading would always be true!

I found it really beneficial to me because you can confirm ovulation definatly happened, and you know af is going to arrive if your temp drops, it took the anxiety out of ttc for me.
I knew I was pregnant before doing a test as well because my temp remained high!

What info were you after?

I used fertility friend to keep track, I also use to take note of cervical mucus and cervix position!
