I need some advice as to whether this is normal.

I think it might be stretching.

My stomach has been having the pushing and pulling feeling which i know is the stretching.

My stomach does go hard when this happens which has been normal.

But i have also had a stitch like pain with it. the more i move about the more it hurts (though it dont hurt me if that makes sense)

If I cough it sends a huge pain through my stomach, the pain/discomfort is right at the top of my bump.

Now i want to stress i'm not in pain but there is pain there. I really hope i'm making sense.

I don't feel concerned enough where i think i need to call the midwife.

baby is moving as normal.

But wanted to make sure it's not something bad

Sounds like you've pulled a muscle or ligament. That would hurt when you cough x

I agree, you could have pulled a muscle.

I had times where I rolled over (yep, I managed it now and again) in the night and I was in agony as I pulled a muscle. It happened a few times.

It should ease up in a day or two, but if you're not happy, speak to your MW. xx

see now i'm all layed up in bed when i cough it dont hurt. seems to be when i'm standing up.

i had that, even worse when i sneezed, take it easy for a day hun, try not to do too much lifting, and see if it eases

I used to get it, and was always worse when walking about, it was like a reeeeally bad stitch. I remember posting about it on the other forum at the time.

If its relieved when laying down it sounds muscular, especially if its not bothering you now the pressure of the baby has been taken off.
